The 2025 Giro d’Italia in the Aosta Valley

In 2025, the Aosta Valley will host two decisive stages of the Giro d’Italia, confirming its status as a premier stage for world-class cycling.

On Friday, May 30th, Stage 19 will start in Biella and, for the first time in the history of the Giro, finish in Champoluc, in the heart of the Ayas Valley. The 166 km route, with nearly 5,000 meters of elevation gain, will challenge the riders with a series of tough climbs: Col Tzecore, Col Saint-Pantaléon, and the Col di Joux tackled from its steepest side. Adding to the difficulty is the never-before-seen climb to Antagnod, just before the final descent to the finish line.

A tough, spectacular, and potentially decisive stage in the battle for the pink jersey, showcasing the stunning topography of the Aosta Valley.

On Saturday, May 31st, Stage 20 kicks off from Verrès and finishes in Sestrière. The first 15 kilometers of the route will once again pass through the Aosta Valley, offering one last chance to experience the thrill of the Giro up close.
