From Saint Jacques a comfortable farm road leads into the Val di Nanaz, a small side valley made famous by the passage of the Aosta Valley's High Route 1. The ascent has a modest gradient, making for a pleasant and meditative journey, in which one can allow oneself the luxury of admiring every detail of the surrounding nature. Along the way a fairy-tale atmosphere, we pass through a beautiful forest of fir and larch, pastures and large clearings, all the way to the Nanaz Alp where the valley opens up and the spectacle of Monte Rosa and its glaciers satisfies the eye.
